New Chairman of the Israeli Dancers Association - Tsuri Assis
The Chairman's message:
Hello to all the dancers,
At a meeting of Israeli Dancers Association dated 26 June 2020, I was elected as the Chairman and will replace Adi Habad, who was the moving spirit behind the foundation of the association, and its chairman since its foundation - 13 years ago. The Dancers Association would not exist without the initiative, impetus and persistence of Adi Habad. Adi asked to be released from the chairman position, however, the organization will continue to enjoy his insightful advice and his support as needed, and so our heartfelt gratitude.
The Dancers Association was founded some 13 years ago following frequent increases in the entrance fee to dance sessions. As a result, after a short period of time in which the price was NIS 27 the entrance fee stabilized and maintained this level for 12 years.
I am convinced that the moderation in price increases is attributed to the founding of the Dancers Association and understanding that dancers cannot be treated as a captive audience. The dance sessions data base in our web site includes dance sessions at prices below NIS 30, as well as free dance sessions, to let the dancers choose according to the price.
Alongside our activities on various topics, we operate
Radio Harokdim radio
and we recommend that the dancers listen to our diverse broadcasts and to the familiar and beloved music of 24-hour folk dances.
We continue to work vigorously to achieve
the objectives
of the Dancers Association as defined at its foundation.
