| | Karmiel Summer course and Festival 2013 in Israel |
| | Please see below information about the special Karmiel Summer course for foreign teachers and dancers, July 15-26, 2013.
This course is organized by the Karmiel Festival administration in cooperation with the "Association of folk dance instructors and choreographers in Israel and abroad".
This will be the 12th year for participants coming from many
countries from all 5 continents, to take part in workshops with many choreographers and participate in the Karmiel Festival,July23-25,2013.
The course director is Dany Benshalom.

| | Dear dance friends,
I have a small tradition that wherever I am on Shabbat, after candles are lit, I sing “Shalom Aleichem” to welcome the angels of the Sabbath to the gathering.
Last Friday, two days before Rosh Hashanah, I did this in Vilnius, Lithuania. Where only 21 years ago Communism still reined and it was a punishable crime to speak or teach Hebrew. So the joy of doing this in what was the former Soviet Union is multiplied for me.
I am only here because of ISRAELI DANCING. To be able to dance and sing Hebrew music freely in lands where oppression reigned so recently.
I am grateful for this wonderful hobby and this miracle of freedom in our time,
